Mobile learning as an advantage to not stop learning.
It's amazing how time and place are no longer constraints on access to learning. Quick access has been considered as one of the main advantages of this new trend, taking vantage of the tool and its possibilities, as well as the ease of access that students have to learn. We need to keep in mind that this type of modality is not about making people experts and app developers, but about bridging the gap between the ideas of where learning can and cannot happen.
Besides, the use of new technologies has facilitated the acquiring of a new language. The obtaining of new words through mobile learning and the use of applications could help to increase vocabulary, confidence, and class participation since a lot of apps to learn English often have the advantage of giving feedback automatically. So, this mode of study is considered efficient in improving student performance.
Finally, thanks to unstoppable technological advancement, these tools have considerable potential for the teaching and learning process, drawing the attention of students to get out of the routine. Also, it enriches, encourages, and motivates learners to study. Technology opens up the possibilities of accessing knowledge at any time, from anywhere, having the advantage of access information with just one click.

It’s incredible how technology can open a new world to education. I wish in a near-future everyone has the opportunity to use these tools because it can help those who cannot attend classes or even work. Also mobile learning has been a huge apport to education during the lockdown.
ReplyDeleteI love your way of perceiving technology as an excellent tool for educating, and I share most of your thoughts. However, we also have to consider that technological advances can cause a lot of difficulties for those who do not have the required access; in this sense, it could transform their learning process into stressing which is not what we want it to be. At the end, the thing that matters is that students learn.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your most of your ideas, but we have to remember that right now, we are living in a moment of process where technology is still flourishing the increasing use and advances of technology. I have to confess that I would love to be a teacher who uses more technology than anything else, but again, I have to adapt to what my pupils can and cannot do. And yes, we should join the virtual world instead of fighting against it and find ways to teach using the cellphone in class, so that students do not feel that we are against them but with them.
